I can not believe its the end of July. It’s crazy how quickly the year has whizzed past us and soon it will be my favourite holiday, HALLOWEEN, but for now lets focus on the sunshine and summer! In the UK the summer is hit and miss, will it rain? will it be sunny? will we have a heat wave?! We can never know, our weather likes to keep us guessing! In spite of this, I have compiled a fancy list of things I want to do this summer, and hopefully inspire you to tick some off your own or maybe do a random one-off mine!
1. Go to a museum – I have been wanting to do this for a while! I am hoping to drag the boyfriend to either the London Science museum or the NASA Space centre, something really geeky yet fun!
2. Travel – Who doesn’t dream of travelling?! I am hoping to get away this summer to a new place, on our shores or abroad. I want to have a little adventure and explore somewhere new!
3. Outdoor Cinema – This has been on my list for a while and summer is the perfect time to do it! A park near me has awesome films showing soon at an outdoor cinema and I really can’t wait to grab some blankets and munchies and cuddle up under the stars! Films such as Pretty Women and Back to the Future are on offer so it will be a hard pick!
4. Lose 10lbs – This is a personal goal of mine but I am hoping to lose at least 10lbs before summer is over and get to the lowest weight I have been in years!
5. Get Active – Related to above, I want to get more active, hitting the gym more, go outside with the niece! Anything that gets me moving and active is a bonus!
6. New Hair – My hair is currently a colourful mess and I am hoping I can get my hairdresser to work wonders so I can have a new look for the end of summer! What better way to welcome autumn with a new do?!
7. Learn a language – I am currently playing on the app ‘Duolingo’ which is a fun way to learn a language! I am hoping to get the basics down before the summer is over! French is my language of choice. J’aime paris ♥!
8. See friends – Being an adult sucks as you hardly get to see your friends due to work schedules and just life in general so this summer I am hoping to spend some quality time with the best friends and make some more magical memories!
9. Get Crafty – I started a few crafty projects this year including scrap-booking and crossstitching and I hope to fill in a few more pages and finish off a cross stitch I have been working on forever…
10. Focus on Blogging – Since starting this blog, it’s been hit and miss for me, good weeks and bad. I am hopefully going to blog a lot more and get my blog to stage where I am happy with it!
11. Bedroom DIY – I would love to have my bedroom finished by the time summer is out! It has been an extremely long project due to whole house getting rewired but I have my hopes set for it to be finished by september! I have Disney wallpaper I need up on my wall!!
12. Dear Diary – Not long ago I bought a lovely journal and a fancy fountain pen in hopes of starting a diary. Now I write in it little and often but I hope to write in it more over the summer, so in years to come I can look back and see the memories and how far I have come in other things. I also would love to improve my writing, and handwriting!
13. Make an effort – Making more effort with my boyfriends friends is a big one for me. Suffering from anxiety I normally stay my distance as it makes me very anxious but I want to see them more and hopefully become better friends whilst tackling the mental health demons! 2 Birds with 1 Stone am I right?
14. Picnic under the stars – This is an ultimate dream goal but I really want to have a picnic under the stars! Champagne, yummy food and just a clear night sky full of twinkling stars.. romantic much?! Just to convince the boyfriend…
15. Take more pictures – Growing up and into my twenties I have noticed that the amount of photos I take now when I do leave the house are getting smaller and smaller! I want to fill photo albums with pictures of my summer so I need to take more pictures when I do go out and have fun! I want to be able to look back and see the good times!!
I hope you have enjoyed my little list of things I want to get up to this summer! I would love to know in the comments what you hope to get up to!
Let me know if you have any similar items on your list to mine!

A lot of these are also on my to do list e.g. get crafty & learn a language (although I think the latter will take me longer than the summer!) I love going to museums as well – especially when they’re free, I’m a sucker for a day trip haha.

I am LOVING Duolingo at the moment! X
It is so much fun, makes learning a language super easy and entertaining!
Such a great post! Did you get to do all these things?
I can not believe summer is over already but like you said with the UK its hit and miss kind of weather. Hope you managed to do some of the items for your summer bucketlist
picnic under the starts sounds very romatic like a good date night event xx
I got a present of a lovely journal at the start of the year. I would definitely recommend keeping a diary.
I would love to go to an outdoor cinema. Haven’t seen anything around here though. Hope you managed to get some of these done!
Great list here. I need to loose 10 pounds after the summer – too many cocktails & tasy treats! Love the photo, where is that water? It looks amazing! The language app sounds briliant x
Picnic under the stars sounds wonderful! How you getting on with the anxiety/making more of an effort? X
I did the new hair thing, and I was going to do the outdoor cinema-can’t remember why I didn’t, now. I want to start keeping a diary and taking more photos is a definite must do for me. Great post, I enjoyed reading it.
I’d love an outdoor cinema, although the weather has been shocking and so I guess it would hardly be open! Hopefully the weather hasn’t totally scuppered your list
Cheers to scrap-booking, I love it “we should do a page together” LOL
I can so relate to these. My hair is a fuzzball and I so need to shift weight. I hope you managed to achieve your goals x
