NEW YEAR NEW ME – 2020 GOALS
Hello everyone & Happy New Year! Can you believe the decade is nearly over?! I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas and you are all feeling excited for all of 2020’s many possibilities. I always get excited for the 1st January to roll round, its like a fresh start, a clean slate, and we get 365 days to be awesome and make some magic.
I am sure a lot of you have already made some new year resolutions, including some health and fitness ones too! I personally tend to steer clear of making ‘resolutions’ now but instead set myself goals and objectives for the new year (more at the end of the post!).
You can read my 2018 fitness goals here & my 2019 fitness goals here if you want to see what I set myself to achieve last year!
This year I wanted to split my goals into different areas, and focus more on other aspects of my life and not only fitness. In 2020 I want my blog to become a reflection of all of me, and not just my fitness.
Goals for 2020
Money:
- Use my Budget Planner daily & record every expense and budget wisely.
- Pay off my credit cards & Paypal Credit
- Pay my Florida holiday off in full by August
- Save £1500 for Spending Money for Florida
- Have an emergency fund of £1000
Blog:
- Get back into YouTube and have weekly videos
- Stay consistent with my blog posts – 1 a week
- Work with more brands & company’s that fit my ethos
- Reach 50,000 on Instagram
- Reach 3000 on Twitter
Fitness/Health:
- Deadlift 90kg
- Focus on recovery (mentally & physically)
- Get stronger and more lean muscle mass
- Train 3 x week minimum
- Eat more for health
- Reduce Meat consumption
- 1 Unassisted Pull up
- 1 Unassisted Push Up
Other:
- Spend more time with loved ones, friends & family
- Move in with my boyfriend & make the house a HOME
- Do more fun things, be spontaneous and make plans
- Do more good, donate more, be more mindful of sustainability, recycle, eat less meat and just try to be a better person all round.
Writing my goals down has really got me excited for the upcoming year! I can’t wait to see how everything improves next year and how with my new focus and motivation, I will be smashing 2020.
What are your goals for 2020? I would love to know what you are aiming to smash in 2020! Let me know below in the comments!

Yasss to that deadlift goal. I used to lift weights also. Maybe I should get back into it. I’m also going to more meticulous with my finances. Hope you have an amazing new year!
If you enjoyed it, you definitely should get back into it! I love weight training so much! Good luck with all your finance goals!
I’ve saved some yoga poses in my phone that I’m working towards in 2020 to help me build strength and flexibility. I’m also wanting to improve my drawing skills by sketching 365 things this year. And I’m doing something new on my blog this year that I’ll be announcing soon. So excited for this year!
I hope 2020 is an AMAZING year for you! 💜
Thats such a great idea! I love that and may even borrow that idea too! Yoga is definitely something I want to incorporate more of in 2020! I hope you have an amazing year too!
Those are some great resolutions! Good luck to you getting them all accomplished in 2020 and Happy New Year!

You have a great list of goals here from all areas of life. I’ve been thinking about what I want my health and fitness goals to be for this year and I still haven’t quite decided x

Yess lets smash it!! I believe we can both achieve it!
Particularly love your fitness/health goals. Training three times a week is perfect!
I definitely need to blog more consistently too. I don’t think i can still manage once a week, but it’s a worth a try.
Good luck to you on your goals! Happy 2020!
It is really hard but once your in a routine it seems to get easier!! Thank you so much, have a great start to 2020!
Wonderful goals! I was thinking of venturing into Youtube. Any tips?
Definitely just go for it, dont care what anyone things and just do it! Consistency is a big thing though!!
I’m hoping to get back into lifting weights too! In fact I’m going to the gym later today for my first session of my new plan 🙂 good luck with you goals!
Oooh good luck!!! When your back into the swing of things it feels so good!
Initially my goal was to publish at least 3 post per week but after reading various posts I realised that quality is more important than quantity. Now I am trying to improve the quality of my post and my goal is to publish 1 post per week but some time I got distracted.
These are all fab goals! I love splitting my goals across different areas of my life e.g. health, career, personal growth etc. It’s such a great way to track everything x

I agree, and it helps you look at where you want to grow and develop in life too! x
Ok I just need to copy and paste all your goals to mine this year! Definitely need to learn how to budget (although I’ve been saying this for about 100 years and I still piss money up the wall daily 🤣😅), see more of my friends that I don’t spend much time with and be more conscious of my carbon footprint!
Can we motivate each other please?! 😂
Claud xx
