Multipower 100% Whey Isolate Protein

It’s very rare that I get excited over a protein products, most of the ones I buy seem to be pretty similar in macros and quality, but when Multipower contacted me asking me if I would like to try their 100% whey isolate protein powder, I got pretty excited.

Before you read anymore, make sure you know all about protein and why you should take it here!

I am a self titled protein princess, I am super fussy when it comes to my protein, regarding taste, texture and nutritional value and I don’t want to waste time, money and calories on stuff that I dislike. It doesn’t matter if it is marketed higher end (gold standard I am looking at you, yuck!) or lower end, it has to tick all the right boxes for me else I will not use or repurchase it.

At first glance, Multipower is an excellent choice. It is suitable for vegetarians, gluten-free & free from aspartame too! The nutritional value is brilliant, with 108kcals, 24g protein, 0.5g fat, 0.7g carbs, 0.3g sugar and the ultimate added bonus, 6.3g BCAA for a 30g scoop! So why is the BCAA part good you ask?!

BCAAs (Branch Chain Amino Acids) are essential in reducing muscle fatigue, speeding up recovery and stopping your muscles losing vital amino acids during a workout.

Ingredients
Instantized Whey Protein Isolate (Milk) (94%), Cocoa Powder (4%), Emulsifier Soya Lecithin, Flavouring, Sweeteners: Sodium Cyclamate, Sodium Saccharin, Acesulfame K; Palm Oil. May contain traces of egg.

Putting the Multipower 100% Whey Isolate Protein in Rich Chocolate to the true test, I decided to mix it in a protein shaker bottle instead of my fancy Promixx bottle to see how well it actually mixed! I made up 60g whey isolate protein with 300ml almond milk and took it for a spin.

The protein powder actually mixes extremely well, I had no lumps in my shaker at all and the texture was spot on! I hate thin and runny protein shakes and much prefer them thicker (like a milkshake!). The chocolate taste was lovely too, it took me a while to work out what it reminded me off,  but after a few minutes deliberating, it is definitely like a chocolate doughnut, which whilst cutting I am not going to complain about!

It’s certainly not the cheapest whey supplement out there but it’s definitely a quality product that is in my opinion worth the price tag!

Multipower 100% whey isolate protein currently is £36.99 for a 725g tub at Multipower but it’s also available on bodybuilding.com here

Do you think I could help my dog gain some muscle if I used this but a flavor without cocoa powder? Or would it make him sick?

Im sure you could make some gorgeous smoothies with this! I literally does taste like chocolate donuts though! I imagine maybe with salted caramel or coconut this would be lovely!

I’ve always been a bit nervous to try Whey protein, I’ve always heard mixed reviews. I’ll have to check this out.

This stuff sounds awesome! I definitely know that quality of protein powder really matters (my good friend is a women’s health specialist), and it sounds like it tastes super delicious. Love that it’s thicker too, I also hate thin protein shakes.
