So I arrived at the airport last night around 9pm Turkish time. The airport was an absolute breeze, there was no queues and I was through passport control and had collected my bags and gone for a wee all in 10 minutes!
I got to the airport exit and had the driver waiting to pick me up, with my name on a sign. He took my bags and when I got into the car he handed me my surgery info pack, sprayed my hands with disinfectant and handed me a well needed cold bottle of water!
The drive to the hotel took about 20 minutes in all, the driver was a complete sweetie and even stopped to get me a cornetto, which I completely devoured in seconds!
Once I got into my room I had a knock at the door (was 10pm at this point) and the lovely lady who is looking after me at the Villa had brought me home cooked dinner and a drink to have before bedtime! She explained I would need to be outside in the morning for 8:20 to be taken to the hospital for my covid tests.
After devouring my dinner I jumped straight into bed and went straight to sleep!
Does anyone else think travelling is exhausting?!
