Disney will always be the most magical place on earth to me, and I will never give up my right to go and enjoy the magic.

Recently a widely shared facebook post (first shared on twitter) has gone viral with a very explicit rant about how childless couples are ruining Disney parks for children.

Now I am going to need a minute, because WHAT THE FUCK.

The mother (who is anon) described an incident where she had to deny her three year old son a Mickey Shaped Pretzel that he had seen a young women eating because the queue was too long.

After her son became very upset, she blamed the young woman for making her son cry and launched into a tirade about how ‘childfree millennials’ clog up amusement parks.

Now this seriously makes my blood boil. Disney from the start has always been about making it accessible for everyone, so they can experience the magic and joy of Disney.

I first experienced Disneyland at the young age of 22, and it was everything I imagined and more. As a young child I was raised on Disney, and all its magic. The princesses were always my favourite, and actually inspired my post about positive role models.

As a child I was never fortunate enough to visit Disney and as I got older it was something that seemed so out of reach. It made visiting the first time even more special and got me hooked for life.

Even as you walk into the parks there is so much magic in the air, so much buzz and it is such an incredible atmosphere to be apart off. No detail is missed in the parks, and the parades and entertainment are just breathtaking.

Last year I went on the Disney Holiday of a lifetime with my best friend. Both aged 26 we headed to Florida with a suitcase of Disney themed clothes, backpacks and our Disney ears and never looked back. Those 2 weeks were the best holiday I ever had, and both of us being ‘childfree millennial sluts’ made it even better. We didn’t have our itinerary dictated by a child, we only had ourselves to feed, we could wander around till our heart was content, meet all the characters we wanted too and stayed up late watching fireworks. None of that impacted on any guests with children.

Get over yourself.

So my main message to the women who went to a tirade about a young women and her pretzel: Get over yourself.

I am sorry that you think that because you didn’t want to queue for a Pretzel you can easily pass the blame to someone else and make them the bad guy. The only bad guy is you, tearing other people & mainly women down, using utterly vile language to try and make a point. The worst part of it all, and the saddest too is how easily you drag down the women who are childfree too.

I honestly cannot imagine how many women who go to Disney and are unable to have their own children, or have lost children or even people like myself who don’t want children – It is such a high percentage and to have such a burning hatred for us, well to be honest it sounds like you need help to address your own issues.

I can assure you not one single childfree millennial slut would of spewed such hatred if it was the other way round, so my word of advice; you do you boo, and just keep the hatred to yourself.
