If you follow me on any type of social media or know me in real life you will know I have been obsessed with Disney! I just love the magic that comes along with it all and to me it is the most magical place on earth!

I did Orlando for the time first last year and had the most amazing time and this year I decided that I couldn’t think of anywhere more perfect than Disneyland Paris to spend Halloween & celebrate my birthday!

I actually complete forgot that on my last birthday I wrote about one of my goals being to visit there again this year with my best friend so it was really nice looking back to see another goal I had completed!

Come fly with me..

We booked our flights with Airfrance a few months ago through Google Flights to get the best deal and paid a little more to have decent flight times. We flew out to Paris on Tuesday 29th October at 3pm which was absolutely fantastic. 

We flew from Birmingham Airport which was a breeze, had a few celebratory drinks in Weatherspoons, (obvs!) and then boarded our flight. The flight itself is less than an hour, and Airfrance were fab! We all got to sit together without paying anything extra, and they even did a free pastrie and drink, I had a cheeky beer up in the sky at no cost! 

Doing my research prior to the trip it seemed like the easiest way to do the airport transfer to the hotel was the train, but what a chaotic experience that was! The normal train was super long (1hr 30!) and the fast train was €19 and didn’t come for another hour and a half.  The staff were extremely rude and unhelpful and even told us to come back the next day! It would of been €76 for four of us! We then tried to Uber and ended up at the taxi rank, who were really rude and told us there was no Ubers at the airport and it would cost €90 to get a taxi! We eventually made our way to an exit to get an Uber to get to our hotel where we had a lovely man who charged us €51 (roughly £11 each!). The trip should of been a smooth 45 minutes however we ended up breaking down in the rain as we got a flat tyre! Luckily our Uber driver was a dab hand at changing tyres and we were soon back on our way! 

Learn from my mistakes, if there is 4 adults in your party and your heading to Disneyland from the Airport just Uber, it’s cheaper, easier and they are very polite and you won’t have to deal with angry train station staff! 

Dream Castle

We booked to stay at the Vienna Dream castle which is a lovely 4 star hotel near Disneyland. It’s the second time I have booked here and I would definitely book again.They offer a free shuttle to the parks every 20 minutes up to midnight which is great! We didn’t really spend much time at the hotel to enjoy any of the facilities as we were super busy but it offers a gym, swimming pool, free WiFi and beautiful grounds to walk round. I wish we had added the breakfast to our stay at €16 pppn but we thought eating in the Disney Village would have been cheaper and better. Let me tell you know, its not 🙄🤣. The first day we headed straight to mcdonald’s and the breakfast was so tiny and rubbish! The next day we tried Starbucks which was even pricier and was just as rubbish. I highly advise taking the hotel breakfast and filling your boots before heading out to the parks!

Getting Spooky

We bought the 2 day 2 Parks tickets and also the Halloween Party ticket on top so we could enjoy all the spooky celebrations. It was really great walking into the magic with all the Halloween decor, the entertainment was great, and we got to ride in the dark when we hit the coasters! There was such a great atmosphere to the park and there was even a bar that offered Halloween cocktails and beer! The parade was fantastic however we didn’t see any firework shows which was a shame! The only downside was the meet and greet for the characters. We found this time around alot of them had prebooked slots so you couldn’t queue for them at all, and the photos we got in the evening after queuing for ages for Malificent were rubbish! It did put a downer on the evening as that’s my favourite part of Disneyland, meeting the charecters and making memories however it was still a wonderful experience. I loved how everything was Halloween themed , we even had a Halloween burger that was green! 

Overall it was a fantastic trip with the people I love, I love Halloween and Disney so it was amazing. I am gutted I didn’t meet any princesses this time or any villains due to the timings etc but I did have a fantastic time and would highly recommend it! 

Splashing the cash

For the whole trip I took £200 and spent all of it food and Ubers. We had plenty of cocktails and fun, and nothing was out of bounds. I definitely think that’s more than enough for one adult for a few days if your not fussed about buying souvenirs!

I’m now counting down to my next Disney world trip next Halloween in Orlando, and I bloody cannot wait to experience the magic all over again!
