4 Tips For Dipping A Toe In The Dating Pool Once More

When you’ve been out of the game for a while, it can feel like a huge achievement to even want to get back into the dating pool again. Relationships don’t always work out the way that you hoped they would. Sometimes, the person you relied on for love isn’t all that reliable. Other times, tragedy strikes and you find yourself unexpectedly and prematurely alone. Either way, all relationships must come to an end in some way or another.

This doesn’t mean that you have to remain alone, though. It’s 2019 – we’re embarking on another round of the ‘20s and it’s time for everyone to get in the “swing” of things once more. So, whether you are headed online to find Muslim singles, plan to brave Tinder or you want to date the old fashioned way – by asking someone out in a bar, you need to dip a toe carefully and slowly into the dating pool. You can take your time and be picky if you want to, but you need to follow these four tips to get you prepared for the big step you’re about to take!

  1. Take Your Time. You may have spent significant time by yourself. Getting back into the dating pool is not something to rush. Instead, take your time and really research the way you want to do this. If you’re going for online dating, research the safety tips you can find here. Online dating covers many different sites, and you should be prepared!
  2. Make It Fun. Dating should be fun! It’s being wooed and taking for delicious dinners, dancing in the moonlight, drinks by the water and more. It’s supposed to be the time you get to know someone new, and you should enjoy every moment of it!
  3. Don’t Take It Too Seriously. You are dipping a toe, not dressing in a full scuba suit and going diving. Your dating adventures may eventually get serious, but that doesn’t mean you jump in like that. You need to have a light heart when you start dating again so that you can embrace the dating nerves and the exciting dates you may get a chance to go on.
  4. Stay Safe. It doesn’t matter how you meet each date, you need to stay safe. There are plenty of ways to make sure that you remain safe on a date – and it’s not just online dating. You’re effectively meeting strangers when you go out together, which means you need to employ the rules your parents will have taught you: public spaces, let someone know where you are and always, ALWAYS check in with a friend!

Dating is the fun part of getting to know someone. You can go on as many as you like before you confirm a relationship is a solid one, and you can take your time and enjoy yourself. Don’t be afraid to be who you are and embrace it! It’s exciting – enjoy every second!
